Default Liquid Sinemet?

I have been experiencing very little on time and horrific wearing off dyskinesia. I am considering liquid sinemet and would appreciate any input on starting it and pros and cons of going this route.

Thank you,
Sunflower

Default Liquid Sinemet

Yes liquid sinemet is home made. The tablets are dissolved in orange juice and small doses taken more often. Theoretically this will even out dopamine curve. It is quick to 'kick in' but does not last as long as tablets so must be taken more often.

Lightbulb

There are some orally disintegrating tablets dosage forms listed at the FDA. These are comparable to liquid.

Ask your pharmacist if he/she can order for you.

Laura
Laura:
morning: 1 teaspoon with cornflex and milk
lunch: 1 teaspoon with milk
evening: 1 teaspoon milk
One level teaspoon powder weighs 2.5 grams. Assuming 4% levodopa, that works out to 100 mg levodopa per teaspoon. But without Carbodopa, only a fraction of it reaches the brain and the rest is absorbed by the body.

I am not taking cinamet presently. I suffer from annoying tremor -right arm and limb- which I think is not helped by ldopa. Any way , when I decide to take Cinamet I will need to stop mucuna because it will confuse the dosing of Cinamet.
