Saw this thread and joined the forum just to discuss.
I agree that ECGC can be synergistic and is important. The first article below should be available by googling and says the same thing in an in vitro model. But as pointed out - the key is to kind the correct dosing. I don't know if you can extrapolate dosing in mice to humans. For example, dosing of rasagiline in mice for its affect on MSA was done at 2.5mg/kg (see study below). However, most people take .5 mg or 1 mg. That is obviously minuscule compared to the mouse concentration. I'd love to find someone who can help us determine the correct dosage. There are very few human studies with non-pharmaceuticals - very disappointing. There is low cost and money available for in vitro and mice studies but just nothing when it comes to humans. The other flavanoid that is worth considering is Baicalein/Chinese Skullcap - it disaggregates alpha-synuclien and is iron chealting as well. Again though some studies referenced below suggest more is not better. Rifampin is also now being studied as well - but that is an antibiotic. Finally, I can't speak to that specific supplement referenced above but Jarrow makes a good ECGC product and they are GMP certified (high manufacturing credentials). Cheers! FYI for the ladies: if anyone has interstitial cystitis, green tea, and esp. green tea extract will provoke a major episode...
