Default walking while you work

Has anyone done this or know anyone who has? I'm intrigued by the concept of walking while you are at the computer, since we know that moving is good for PD. We could all be "walking" whist on the forum! Here's the link, it's not so much news as it's been out awhile, but news to me. I think you can buy the plans to build your walking desk for about forty bucks (now, getting someone to build it....priceless!!)

Staples carries a very nice "lap desk" about this size for around $30. It is made of wood, looks nice, and should be easy to mount on a treadmill.

Those who don't have a treadmill can take heart too. I read something along the way that reported that simply working standing up at your computer did marvelous things metabolically. Maybe hinge the desk under a window with a nice view and use a laptop.

I would have difficulties looking down, but perhaps a way to overcome this would be to use a projector.......there are some cheap ones around these days. Walking is not comfortable looking down!

Agree that standing up at a computer would avoid the nasty sedentary side-effects of 21st century living...
