Survey on Sham Surgery: The results are In
Thanks to all who participated in the Parkinson Pipeline Project’s informal survey of PWPs’ views on the use of sham surgery in PD clinical trials. Thank you especially for your thoughtful comments. The results are now in and can be viewed at: http://pdpipeline.org/whatsnew/sham_...survey2010.htm AND: The NIH is holding a conference on this topic in Bethesda on June 30-July 1. It is open to the public, and people can also submit written comments in advance of the meeting . These will be made available for review provided they are received at least a week prior to the meeting (June 23rd) We encourage you to send your comments, opinions, questions etc. on sham surgery to: NIH Office of Biotechnology Activities at oba@od.nih.gov There is more information about the NIH conference on: http://oba.od.nih.gov/rdna_rac/rac_sham_con.html And an agenda on: http://oba.od.nih.gov/oba/rac/News/Summary%20Agenda.pdf The Pipeline Project thanks all PWP who participated in this survey, and especially thanks to all who seek to accelerate PD research progress by volunteering for clinical trials.
