Good post. Back in 2007 it was discovered Dopamine is not a movement neurotransmitter. Thats done by acetylcholine. Dopamine is a mood and behaviour neurotransmitter..

you are correct. It is a unique way to treat PD, Huntington's, etc. The once uncontrollable movements can now be stopped and started (in mice) using this new knowledge.
I was just very interested in what drugs t he doctor claimed could treat dyskinesias (since I am plagued with them). So I started down that road. I hope I didn't ruin your good news. Thanks for all of your postings! Peg |
