Default absorption

I've heard a lot about people who have cancer have low vitamin D levels also. Some there is no reason for this. I wonder if there is an absorption problem? Could we be taking enough in and not retaining it?

It could be marcia; I thought vitamin D helped calcium to be absorbed and I think we are being recommended to take D3? I don't know how many different kinds of vitamin D there are.

Could the whole med thing , pd meds included, be related to metabolism and absorption ? We were talking about this earlier -people behind the drug shortages say there are substitutes. But there aren't. Stalevo worked well but made me very dyskinetic so I'm weaning off. They can't assume we are all the same because we have different metabolisms.
