I was wondering if anyone has used medical marijuana for relief of Parkinson's symptoms. I have reached the limit on sinemet and was curious about whether marijuana would help. The medical marijuana people of course say it does wonders, but I'd like more direct patient testimony before I go any further with it. I'd appreciate you input.
Thanks, Chasley P.S. I'm an old braintalk veteran and new to the NeuroTalk Forum. Hello to any Braintalk people out there. |

Anyway, sorry for the rant. I found that Sativa strains made me more shaky and I couldn't sleep. I tried Indica and did find that if I used a very small amount in the evening that it seemed to relax my muscles and I tended to add at least 2 hours on to my evening's sleep. I was able to find some that was suspended in honey that you could just drop under your tongue. That was my preference since I am not a smoker. I've tried all of the usual sleeping pills and I hate them because of the groggy feelings I get the next morning. The MJ does not leave me with any after effects. Would I recommend MJ? It's certainly no cure and I'm not sure if it's a good treatment. However, if you get the same result that I did, it might be worth a try if your local laws allow it. |
