Default renaming Parkinson's

i'm doing a page in the book that talks about all the genetics are going to change because of children with multicultural marriages and mixed races. we may have to come up with some new names as if you even say the name of a race, like i think the guy climbing over the fence was possibly mexican i've somehow said something wrong. being facetious i think.

anyway the point is parkinson's is going to keep us stumped for awhile. i liken it to a computer slowly crashing and where you are in the process is not exactly the same. With the mixing of genes, new clusters of people from scotland or wherever the LRRK2 people are believed to be from could change to new jersey..who knows?
Lab researchers and medical scientists, doctors get to name everything. i think we should come up with some possibilities for this page in the book. the book about all of you....that book!

so once again, there is a deadline so kindly join in. if we can have a [post bottle of wine ya think? ] hedgehog agonist pathway and there are plenty more funny ones where that came from, we shoud be able to creatively brainstorm a new name. Or at the very least can we change it to Parkinson I hate that 's.

ok be orginal , bob i expect your participation to be original as you have me giggling each time i go into debi's thread about the board game but also some serious ones are needed. there is a quote from Joan snyder, whom many of you know who says it should be called a life disorder, and that she couldn't say the words she really calls it in public.

i'm still thinking too so somebody start. we've been writing since last october but this group formed almost one year ago. we just might make the first draft for the wpc. so please brainstorm and join in - it could be productive.

thanks!
paula

Default I tried . . .

I tried to not be first on this one, but looks like I'll get it started. This is harder than you think.

How about:
Screwed-up Neural deficit disease?

or

Misfired, re-wired neural pathway disease?

or

Ambiguous Motor/non-motor neurological disease?

or best yet:

the "Nobody Knows Nada" Disease!

BlueDahia, I like Da brain.....she'sa no work. It would be fun to say when some one asks, "what's wrong with you" Da Brain... she'sa no work.

Whathefuhinson's Syndrome

Terremoto Syndrome (Italian for earth quake)

Bigpharmanirvana Syndrome

Tipoftheiceberg Syndrome

Canaryinacoalmine Syndrome

I think the theme for me is Syndrome, and I finally had one Neuro refer to it as such. I think if there were a new name it should at least do us a solid and admit they have a ton of ideas, but know single point of failure. I sure have been bitter this week.
