I've been fighting a poor attitude.
Backstory to those who need it - I'm male/52 years/symptoms for 9/diagnosed with PD for over 6. Increasingly violent Dyskinesia and Dystonia has made me seek relief via DBS surgery. Have said before that having The Cleveland Clinic within driving distance (5 hours) was a major factor in the decision to give it a shot. I've passed all the pre-lims (the cognitive testing was the worst - very wearing) and have set dates for both procedures (implant two leads - implant 2 stimulators) Tell the truth, I'm not all that impressed with the CC - but throwing particulars out in public probably isn't too cool. ![]() MikeTTF |

Hey there you are: when you have more energy tell us more about the cognitive testing. Sometimes I sure feel like I'm a few short of a full deck. People call me sweetie and dearheart - people I've just met - dang that means it's worse than I thought.
I'd like to know where it got taxing for you...any surprises about what was trickier than you thought? At what point do you "flunk" and then what - no DBS? Are you then pronounced demented I wonder and what would they say ....just rambling. Hope your spirits lift.... paula

with respect to the CC Clinic, I often find gut instinct leads the correct way.
Good luck, Aftermathman. |
