1994...symptoms back to 1988
Yep, I was told by a general practice neurologist that PD was just for old people, then he rose from behind his desk and said, "this is what PD looks like." He then preceded to walk stooped with a shuffle. I NEVER returned to that office again!! Why do you ask Tena? Just curious.

Also wondered why the question, alone it does not mean much. More useful if we added symptoms and stage of progression. I have suggested before we put date of diagnosis on our profile.
Dbiker2, you beat us all by a long way, how are you doing, what are your symptoms, 29 years is awesome. After 18 years, My main problem is walking. Even medicated, I shuffle and can't turn around. My "off" is worse after my meds wear off, than it was before I took my meds, if you can understand what I mean. In the mornings, unmedicated, I can shower, dress and go down and put the dog out etc. However, when I have taken my meds, if they wear off before I take more, I am jelly, could not do anything. Does anyone else find this? On the positive side, I still drive, go on demanding holidays, (Venice by Orient Express this June), do yoga every week, and maintain a half acre garden. Ron

Hello!
I was just wondering how many people who give great advise, is because of great wisdom on the PD road we have traveled... & to tell you all - to never give up, I have been studying ashwagandha still, and It points out that it helps adreanal exhaustion... I believe adreanal exhaustion is caused by many different toxins, in our foods, that are crapola... they suggest CoQ 10 because it is an antioxident, found in high quantity in the human heart & liver...it is part of the electron transport system so I keep on thinking if we can get our bodies ph balanced, we could stop the advancement of the PD.? & perhaps that is how the tremors began in President Clinton - he had a McDonalds pitstop on his agenda too much during his 8 years in office... love, tena Quote:
