Wow, Steve - especially since we had talked about planning a coffee get-together for yesterday...if I can help at all, let me know.

What an experience last night was, and thankfully pd didnt have anything to do with it..There wasnt a damn thing I could do except slam on the brakes after I got hit..I have no idea how that girl didnt see me..It was not dark yet..She turned into my rear quarter, so that meant I was in front of her, and my truck is white..She should have seen me..Either she wasnt paying attention, or she was on a cell phone, or something..Maybe texting, who knows?

I talked to a lawyer this morning, and she is going to come to my house and talk to me tomorrow morning..I am going to ask her to get the girl's cell phone records, and see if that had something to do with the crash

Red face

Steve, I'm so glad you are OK! What a terrible thing to go through. And i think you are very smart to get a lawyer and check on that other driver's cell phone records. White truck - hit you from behind in daylight? Very very suspicious.

Take care & hugs!

Wow, Steve!
Sounds like you really dodged a bullet. Sorry to hear that you have the mess to sort out, but you seem to be on top of things. Where possible, pamper yourself for a few days (or weeks).
Seriously, take care of yourself and don't hesitate to call for help when needed.

Default Whew!

Steve

I, too. am so glad the accident wasn't worse. When I first read the subject title, I was afraid that maybe you had a sleep attack - it's just a split second of dosing off, and it is often due to Mirapex or Requip. I have nodded off and opened my ees to be in the wrong lane of traffic. Talk about frightening!

You may want to ask the dooctor for a little xanex to help get thru this situation.

Take care, my friend.

Default To be a little ruthless

Assuming she is insured, don't allow any misguided scruples about lawyers and lawsuits to keep you from suing. Not only did you lose your truck but you suffered some major trauma and you'll never know how much it affected you. If you gotta' have PD, a little in the bank will help. Just my two cents.

I'm so sorry to hear about your accident. It must have been a terrifying experience, but the good news is that you are okay. It was good at least that the EMTs listened to you. Hope you will give yourself time to recover -- both physically and emotiionally.
