Hi all,
I'm on this board because my Dad was diagnosed with PD last year. He lives in Edmonton, Canada. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good neurologists in this area. I'm not very happy with his current one and interested in exploring others. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks, Sharmila |

I live north of Edmonton, and see an MDS (movement disorder specialist, a neurologist who has extra training in movement disorders such as Parkinson's) at the Movement Disorder Clinic at the Glenrose Hospital. There are four neurologists working at that clinic. I believe the waiting list to get in is fairly long but he would be seen by someone eventually. I think he has to be referred by his family dr. - you could check on that by phoning the Glenrose.
I initially saw a Dr. Stenerson, a neurologist who referred me to the Glenrose - he was very pleasant but he thought I would be better served at the Glenrose. |
