Default aspartame

Whatever you think of Beck, this article about aspartame and its possible affect on him is interesting...I was particularly incredulous to read that aspartame is responsible for over 75% of adverse events relating to food additives to the FDA, that is huge. Just another reason to avoid the stuff at all costs, if you aren't already. Here's the link:

Note that aspartame is being put into things that also have sugar! Just yesterday I bought my kids some gum that had, as the second ingredient corn syrup, so I assumed (yep, you got it...) that it was safe, but alas, no. Aspartame was listed right below where I had stopped reading. There is now not a single gum that does not have aspartame in it, unless we buy it at Whole Foods, where it is quite pricey, and there's no bubble gum flavor available!
