Hi Paula

Sorry to hear of your daughters crash. I'm glad that they walked away from it. The thing that always surprises me is how our children survive the twenties. It was a rough trip for me also. I noticed that my children began to change (for the better) as they were transiting from their teens to their twenties. My transition was a little bit later...from my twenties to my thirties. Still, I made it or, at least, have convinced myself that I have. I now just have to survive the next big transition.

All the best,

Lloyd

Oh, Paula, I know exactly what you mean! Our 20 yr. old son has moved back with us after about a year and a half on his own. 20 yr. olds and fifty pluses don't make good room-mates! We seem to prefer neatness and quiet and going to bed on time - what silly ideas, no 20 yr. old would be caught dead worrying about anything like that! He's great company, but.... He came that close to rolling his vehicle a few weeks ago, but doesn't understand why I worry about him. Sigh. I'm trying to just enjoy him, but.... He's stuck with us for awhile as he's saving money to go back to school and I think the main goal is that we're all still friends when he does leave again!

Default Lord help us

Thanks for all of your comments..they do make one feel better. Wendy I will think of you, and know of many others who share our situations. Twenty some year olds are like train wrecks, and they seem to be cortically blind to the messes they make. Their brain has a special 'mess filter' - it works just like blinders on a horse.

I hope mine get smarter as I get stupider or we could be in trouble! lol
