Default 12 Days of Parkinson's (Christmas song)

At our December support group, we performed this crazy little song to the tune of "The 12 Days of Christmas." Several have requested a copy of the words, so here it is!
(Have a happy holiday!)
Peg

You can change the words to suit you. Remember to hold #5.
  • On the first day of Parkinson's, my doctor gave to me . . . a diagnosis of PD!
  • Two shaky hands, and a diagnosis of PD.
  • Three pills to try, two shaky hands,, and a diagnosis of PD.
  • Four fava beans, Three pills to try, two shaky hands,, and a diagnosis of PD
  • F-i-v-e days of sleep!, etc.
  • Six walking canes, F-i-v-e days of sleep!, four fava beans, etc.
  • Seven exercises, etc..
  • Eight days of no pain. Etc.
  • Nine back massages, etc.
  • Ten extra lbs., etc.
  • Eleven sleepless nights, etc.
  • Twelve support group friends, etc.

Wink Here is another PD song

LOVE it Peg,

Here is another (that I wrote) sung to the tune of "I am a Major General" from Pirates of Penzance, to be used for Pirates for Parkinsons gatherings:
  • when i was just a little tot my mother said i talked a lot
  • so now i hope you'll listen and be with me as I walk a lot
  • we’ll take a walk or ride a bike or walk a dog and we will be
  • friends and pirates altogether fighting against brain disease
  • we are fighting against parkinsons and we will surely need you there
  • friends, and family pirates please all come and show us that you care
  • Join us in support so one day you and I will live to see
  • The banishment forever from our lives of parkisons disease !!

Jean
