I need to ask those who have been put on and then taken off anticholinergics if they had withdraw symptoms when they did that. I feel like I quit smoking tonight. The problem is, I didn't quit smoking. I'm easily irritated, have a headache, and am in a different room than my wife and son because my perceptions of things said to me are off and I don't want to misunderstand what they say and become difficult. Please, if I'm withdrawing, how do I deal with it?

Yes, they can.
I don't know what you have been on, or whether it is for PD or a related problem. My experience over several drugs taken for a single related problem is that there are withdrawal issues, which include irritability, pain, mood, concentration, etc. These eventually even off, and I feel a lot better. Trouble is not being able to do without them in the long term. Do everything you can to relax in the least stressful environment you can find! Lindy |

Shows how out of it I was when I posted this. I put withdraw instead of withdrawal. My withdrawal symptoms are at a dull roar. I'm a bit more stiff than normal, but nothing like I was on day one. I'm able to go back into work today. Stephen King made reference in his book, Under the Dome to how amazingly the brain and the body work together. The brain wants something (in my case the Artane I was taken off of) and the body makes things worse on you to get it. Once they both get the hint, things die down.
