Default One of the Great Ones has passed

Jack LaLanne has done his final push up at age 96.

"When he turned 43 in 1957, he performed more than 1,000 push-ups in 23 minutes on the "You Asked For It" television show. At 60, he swam from Alcatraz Island to Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco — handcuffed, shackled and towing a boat. Ten years later, he performed a similar feat in Long Beach harbor."

And to think Jack was reduced to selling juicers on infomercials. He was still in better shape than most of the population of the world.

Default But . . .

Jack may have been a juicer salesperson, but he could walk over, open the refrigerator door, use the pot and wipe clean, talk loudly, drink a cup of coffee (hot) and not sling it everywhere, . . .should I go on?? gotta laugh, guys and gals. I'd sell juicers if I could live and function well untioll age 97.

you know, he was quite an icon. He was exercising when nobody else was!
