You're quite welcome. In weeks to come, I'll include chats with the good folks down at Vanderbilt University Medical Center who are conducting the clinical research trial on early DBS.

Default Podcast

Thank you for doing this, bill. I enjoyed the visuals as well as the information. I do not have an iPOD; I have difficulty programming my phone with phone #'s, so I probably will not be getting an iPOD. but i enjoyed listening on my computer.
One interesting item concerning ESCR: the scientists I have talked to feel it will be a revolutionary "cure" for Diabetes type 1 years before it is utilized for any other diseases. Lots of young children whose lives may be made so much easier by this technology (if they can find a way to "turn off the cells) not to mention the lives of the adults who suffer from this chronic disease.

Default To Bill..

Bill, that's great stuff you are doing
You have taken your time and done a great job at getting all the facts about the issues That monolouge about stem cells was right on the money. WE don't know whether stem cell technology is the right tree to bark upwards at. My own opinion is that is is perhaps the best chance we have for an "in our lifetime" cure. And federal funding is neccessary, because the biotechs aren't getting anywhere, maybe because they already know the expected results, or maybe because they become Pariah and lose industrial funding. I mean there are so many things on the medical horizon that private companies can turn a profit from, why mess with the opposition, etc.
Once again, a very good production, although the music background bugged me a bit, (before i got to ignoring it); your voice alone is more than enough to give your broadcasting "Pizzazz".
You are a "perky Parkie", no doubt about it. Keep on broadcasting, I'll be listening, when I can. Thank You. cs

Thank YOU! Actually, there's a psychological reason for background music in something like this -- it's designed to get both sides of the brain working in harmony as you take in the information. See? That's the kinda junk you learn in 30 years of broadcasting!
