I was on a low dose of Mirapex..(0.5 mg x 2)

I cant say much for it, because I dont think it did a damn thing..I wasnt willing to get on high doses of it, because of the risk of compulsive behavior, and I wasnt willing to pay an arm and a leg for it either

Mirapex made me feel like I was on speed - loved it, loved it, loved it.....until I almost bankrupted the family with my wild compulsive spending.

The drug should be removed from the market.

Default Sinister meds

I gained 100 lbs while taking Mirapex. After being shamed and threatened for this and for my fogbrain thinking, finally medicine woke up to the side effects and I was switched to Requip, which has similare effects but not so intense. I believe I was overdosed from the start with Requip at 15 mg vs. 5 mg Mirapex, about 5 years of each. Now I take 5 mg Requip, 10 mg if the dreams have been horrid (trying to taper off). I also take Sinemet, Cymbalta, Comtan, Amantadine, Detrol, and Vitamin D3, and exercise almost daily. Twelve years out, I'm doing okay, can still sing, and starting to be able to read as the Requip goes down. Yes, read a book.

Best of luck,
Jaye
