Default HELP again! Another Dextromethorphan Question

I am still trying to get it together with the DM issue and find I have another question.

On my bottle of cough syrup it says:

DRUG FACTS:

Active Ingredient (in each 5 ml.)
Dextromethorphan HBr 7.5 mg

Based on this ingredient info, how much should I take each night at bed time?????? One teaspoon ???? 2 Teaspoons???? As you can tell, I was not a science major. I just want to see if DM might be of any benefit to me but I just simply do not understand the dosing issue. Can someone interpret for me
and tell me the proper dose? Thank you a bunch of bunches for any assistance with this.

Not fer nuthin', Caya, but this is the kind of question you should be asking your doctor -- not anonymous but well-meaning strangers on an internet forum.

Good luck, and be well!

Default one more thing

When I figure out what dose I'm aiming for I start out much lower and come up to my target over several days. I try not to change anything else during my trial period. I've also taken to timing my ability to balance on each leg and write it down. Then I repeat that each day watching for change in either direction. I try to be extra observant during this period and am aware that allergies are possible too.
