Default Involuntary stretching and vibration therapy machine

I have used the search option, but I cannot find something I vaguely remember being posted - a home-made version of the vibration therapy machine.

I came upon this item when I googled "involuntary stretching." When I wake up in the morning, before I labor my way out of the bed, I often have an involuntary stretch. I don't want the stretch to happen because it usually ends of with a leg cramp rather than that delicious feeling of my pre-Parkinson's stretches. However, whether I want it or not, my right leg straightens and tenses and feels like concrete to the touch, and ready or not I can feel the stretch coming on. I never mentioned this to the neuro because I could not describe the sensation, but with the help of google I found that involuntary stretching can be a symptom of Parkinson's. During my search, I found references to this vibration therapy machine that looks a lot like a treadmill. It costs over $12,000, which I definitely cannot afford, but I remember something about this machine being mentioned in the forum as an item that a poster copied and fashioned on his or her own initiative. Does anyone experience these involunary stretches and has anyone heard of this therapy?

Default a cheaper alternative...

...might be one of those old style vibrator things where you stand with a wide belt around your hips and lean back against the vibrating belt. I haven't done much with it yet but I got one off ebay for $40. Sears no less.

Born in 1953, 1st symptoms and misdiagnosed as essential tremor in 1992. Dx with PD in 2000.
Currently (2011) taking 200/50 Sinemet CR 8 times a day + 10/100 Sinemet 3 times a day. Functional 90% of waking day but fragile. Failure at exercise but still trying. Constantly experimenting. Beta blocker and ACE inhibitor at present. Currently (01/2013) taking ldopa/carbadopa 200/50 CR six times a day + 10/100 form 3 times daily. Functional 90% of day. Update 04/2013: L/C 200/50 8x; Beta Blocker; ACE Inhib; Ginger; Turmeric; Creatine; Magnesium; Potassium. Doing well.

Ann,
I used to get the involuntary stretching thing when I first woke up. It just kind of went away. However, try this. When you feel the stretch comming on, push your heels outward. Do not allow your toes to point out. If you need too reach out and pull your big toes back toward you. I started doing this and have never had leg cramps again.
