Default just joined a gym, which is the best exercise regime?

I have just joined a gym, mainly because it had an outdoor pool and sunloungers so I can pretend I'm on vacation in the summer! They have a Power Plate machine which I know is useful for MS, plus the usual weights, cycle machines, rowing machines, cross trainers etc. I know cycling is meant to be good for PD, what else should I concentrate on? What helps you? I already do yoga which is really good for my body, mind and soul...

Thanks

I have read rowing is good because it causes you to exert the muscles in the opposite direction of the cramping Pd causes. For example, PD makes your arms contract and you hold them closer to the body, sometimes bent...rowing forces you to s--t--r--e--t--c--h those arms way out all the while pushing against a force which, if one a machine, you can probably adjust. I've also read walking and dancing, and also that the exercise need not be lung-busting in order to help the body. I can remember people of my dad's generation used to take a walk around the block every night after dinner. It's calming, relaxing, and gets the body ready for sleep. Probably also helps the digestion too.

Good for you starting an exercise program!
