Default USA / PAN Action Alert

I know this is about politics, but it is also about our futures and the futures of the programs that are in place that may help us to find a cure one day.

If you are not familiar with Department of Defense’s Neurotoxin Exposure Treatment Parkinson’s Research (NETPR), you can read about the program. It was put in place primarily for soldiers, but since the research is about Parkinson's it means that we as a "disease community" with Parkinson's will benefit from the research findings. Click on the "Learn More About..." which will take you to the PAN page the duplicates the Alert content in the hopes that this post will not be removed by administration...political posts are not allowed.

You can click on the Red link above and be taken to the Action Email page.

If you read the Alert content...After you have read the Alert content on the PAN page, you will find a place to put your Zip Code into the box. You will be taken to the page that contains the email content.

(You can send the email and/or you can call on the phone. You also have the option to send a Letter, but keep in mind that letters take a long time to arrive at an office. They must go to security checks before being allowed to be distributed.)

At the top of the email "Compose Message" you will see your Super Committee Representative and/or Senator to whom you must send this email or make your phone call to. You will not need to figure it out for yourself.

You can personalize the email content by adding information about you:
  • I have Parkinson's....
  • How Parkinson's has effected your life and the lives of your family....
  • About working and how it has affected that part of your life...
  • Any information about you that would be important for you to convey...
Your personal story is important for you to tell.

You must put in the personal information asterisked in red. All correspondence going to The Hill must have your identification.

If you do not already receive the Action Alerts from PAN, please leave the check mark checked. I will still pester you here on the board with Alerts because those members that are new to this board may not know of PAN.

If you are interested to know more about PAN click "About PAN" from website page. You can also PM me and I will send you my email address. We need more PWPs to become involved with PAN, even if it is only as an e-partner.

Carolyn
PAN Congressional Coordinator from PA
