Default Happenings

There are some things to report that will hopefully encourage you as well as keep you the most informed pwps.

We now have 2 patients on the Parkinson's Action Network Board - Peg Willocks is one of them. Congratulations to Peg. This is a first.

The Parkinson's Disease Foundation has established a Patient Advisory Council and two of our forumicans are on it...Ann Wasson [AJ] and Carey Christensen [Indigogo].Many of you may know Mike O'Leary, who is also on this council. PDF is doing this in addition to funding Parkinson Pipeline Project so thanks to both of these organizations for their support of patients at the table.

Speaking of at the table, serious planning has begun towards creating improvements in clinical trials. Dealing with issues like distrust and better informed consent as well as access to treatments will be studied at length with top professionals in the fields. PDF is hosting these round tables this fall.

Kudos to the orgs....and hope to see some of you get involved.

Did you notice I did not mention GDNF once...oops! Next time!
