I went in today for the second Lyme test. The infectious disease doc wanted another positive test before he'd even see me. They just don't believe Lyme would be in Texas. I lived 3 years in New England which if I do have Lyme, is where I got it. But I do also have a tremor so maybe it's not all Lyme. I am on the meds now because it helps me to function till I find out what I do or don't have. I'll let you know how it comes out.

Lyme is everywhere, including Texas. East Texas is full of pine trees and sweet gum trees and lush growth, and ticks. Central Texas is notorious for ticks dropping off the deer (and other critters) into people's yards and onto their pets who bring them into contact with people. Same for the Gulf Goast and prairies and even the valley in the southern part of the state. I could go on, but it's absurd for anyone calling themself a doctor to dismiss an entire state (and a huge one at that) as not having Lyme.

If I'm not mistaken, recent legislation was passed in Texas directly addressing Lyme. You might want to find a copy of it and enlighten your doc. And then look for another doc, IMHO.
