When I first read this headline, I thought it was saying that riding a bicycle caused Parkinson's lol. But it is saying that observations (and measurments, too - hooray!) may help when trying to diagnose atypical versus regular PD.
Read here:http://health.usnews.com/health-news...sons-diagnosis " A patient's ability to ride a bicycle can help doctors determine whether the patient has Parkinson's disease or atypical parkinsonism . . . " These tests using exercise equipment may give us more accurate information than simple observations of how we tap our fingers or walk! Peg |

Fascinating. Before I started sinemet and got to the point of requiring a mobility scooter I could still ride a bike and had no issues with balance. I thought it was so bizarre that I couldn't walk but had no problem riding a bike....
