Default Surgery OT

I posted this in NM on the old board, but wanted my friends here to know what is happening.

I went to the dr yesterday and I will be having surgery soon, but there is no set date. He is putting me in as soon as there is a morning cancellation. It is an LAVH and he will do it outpatient if nothing goes wrong. Everyone else wants me to stay for at least a couple of days. He won't make me take a pain pump, and will take out the IV bag and leave a heplock. He will push for my husband to be there when I go to sleep.

So right now I am not feeling anything. I am glad that it will be taken care of, and hope that this method will make it so that I can get through surgery. My fear of being hooked up, IV meds and hospitals is completely overpowering, as I have cancelled surgery twice before. However, I have been one sick puppy, so will try very hard to go through with this.
