Default OT: good book recommendations

Infrequently there has been a post about book recommendations. Thought I would start another one. I do not have much time recently for pleasure reading, though just finished "the vanishing act of esme lennox" by margaret O'Farrel and enjoyed it immensley. In addition, it is a short book.
