Default UltraMind Solution

I've been reading The UltraMind Solution by Mark Hyman MD. His approach makes a lot of sense to me. Here is his take on PD:

I wonder why only 1% of the elderly population gets PD. Perhaps it really is toxin exposure coupled with a specific genetically poor detox pathway.

BTW, if geriatrics get PD, does that make us all PDatrics? :-)

Default Liver is very important

Thanks for reporting, very interesting book. I have always thought detoxification that occurs through the liver is crucial for PD too.
..."The authors of the study suggest that if we can use antioxidants, energy boosters, and anti-inflammatory treatments along with compounds that reduce the overexcitation (excitotoxicity) of brain cells that leads to cell death, then we can protect the brain and prevent, stop, or reverse this process."...
I don't know if is possible to stop or reverse the process, but surely helps, and it goes in the right direction, for me.
