Default Medication expectations...

Medication expectations...

Amantadine, the first med that helped in any way, has given me back 50% of my balance but I still have the other symptoms.

Still cannot work or drive.

Does your medication make you feel "normal" (as before PD)?

I don't know what to expect from meds, normal living or some, not all, symptoms relieved. ST

I tried to reply in a nice long message, but somehow the message disappeared. If you take too long to type, it apparently logs you out. Anyway, I think all PWP are so different it's hard to generalize. I've seen people do very well for a long time and others--not so much. Your flavor of PD, plus your response to specific meds, plus all your other strategies to keep healthy (exercise, supplements, nutrition, support systems, etc.) all can affect outcome. But I don't think most people would says the meds make them completely normal. But then most of us believe we had symptoms long before diagnosis, so I'm not sure I can say what normal feels like! Good luck.
