Thank you all for your loving support. I cried more when he was alive than since he died. The disease is so cruel and he was so diminished, yet fully aware of what was happening to him. My doctor says my PD symptoms will likely be worse for a while after this loss. He's right. I find the greatest relief in riding my bike, probably because I have to so fully concentrate on road and traffic conditions that my mind can't go anywhere else. I made a banner to donate to the APDA-WA auction that has sections for HOPE HONOR and REMEMBER. The auction is at the end of April. People can pay what they want to add a name. It will be bittersweet to write both my mom and my brother in the REMEMBER section. I'll carry the banner with me to Annapurna base camp later in the spring and then quilt it into a wall hanging for the highest bidder at the auction. I feel better when I'm actually DOing something. Although my fingers aren't working quite as well as they were, I can still sew slowly.

Again, many thanks.
