Default Weekly Check-In April 1-7, 2007 Welcome New Community Members

Hi Everyone..Welcome to our new community members!..We are delighted that you have found us..Welcome to the pd lost and found dept!.. ..We hope you continue to join us here..

It was a decent week weather wise, and Ive been finidhing up the work Ive been doing on my boat, and hopefully I will be able to put it in the water tomorrow morning..Its been sitting in my yard here on the trailor since January, and a few days ago one of the tires went flat, and the bead seperated from the rim.. ..The tires are a harder than usual rubber and I had a hard time sealing the bead to inflate the damn thing with my compressor..I didnt want to take the tire off the trailor if I could help it so I got an idea..I put a rope with a loop around the tire, and got out my come-along, and started taking up on that rope untill it compressed the tire bead back up against the rim, and I was able to inflate it..The next morning it was flat again!.. ..So I went and bought 3 cans of fix-a-flat and put it in the tire..That solved that problem..One thing you dont want to go through while trailoring a boat is a flat tire, or a bad wheel bearing

My cat is doing much better this week..She got her appitite back and gained a half pound back..I have been giving her 2 units of insulin twice a day and that seems to work so far..Now if I can hopefully dodge the tainted pet foods, all should be well

How was your week?

Altered picture of the week..Did anyone see Karl Rove Hip-Hopping to Rap on the news this week?....If you didnt I have provided a You Tube link so that you can view it....Does anyone recall the version of "Walk this way" by Areosmith and Run DMC?..Well I changed some of the words..Here it is..

Im a backstabbin' brudda always hidin' 'neath the covers
hidin' from everybody, Cheney, he say
He said "You ain't sayin' nothin' till the Grand Jury comes a cuffin'
then you're sure to be feelin' like Tom DeLay
I aint sayin' nothin' Im gonna plead the fifth
Oh, the times I could reminisce
'Cause the best part of lyin' is the wholesale denyin"
and it all starts with a little fib
like this!

Mah man Scooter was a jivin' and a fibbin'
and the media was gettin in his hair
Singin' "Hey it's no mo' riddle
I was caught in the middle
It was all Cheneys fault I swear!
So I took a big chance, and I did a little dance
Now the press is havin' a field day
Shoulda thought twice about Plame
Cuz you found out what I was to blame
An' I knew I was in trouble when Cheney told me to

Talk this way, Walk this way
Walk this way, Talk this way
He tol' me to
Talk this way, Walk this way
Walk this way, Talk this way
An' I got dissed

Like this!..

Default Hi Steve:

Thanks for your post and the update on your life. The big thing in my life is that a prospective buyer made an offer for our house. We expect there may be several more before we finally sell it. We expect to be out of here by August. The other big thing is that the geese have returned. The institute where I work covers 125 acres and three to five pairs of geese come every summer to have their goslings. Each morning when I drive into work I stop and count the goslings. You can see their little heads bobbing above the blades of grass. Six, then five, then four, then three, then two; it depends how active the coyotes, racoons and fox have been. If the geese are lucky one or two of their goslings will survive the summer.

This will be my last summer here.

All the best,

Lloyd
