Interesting in the very least that they have finally linked a genetic mutation finding to clinical outcome (patient's real life). Apprarently, SNCA mutations can lead to more rapid disease progression. This highlights how we need to start getting genetic screenings- it really is unfair to patient and families to not offer testing. Even if there is nothing that can stop it; for many of us at least having a more a firm diagnosis is relief regardless.
