Default yard spray and household sprays may make your medicine ineffective

I have been on a voyage of discovery from what meds to treat my dogs for fleas from what weed spray or pest spray will be safe for me. Spinosad, pyrethrums, and many pesticides contain things that make your meds, specifically sinemet not work. That alarmed me. Boric acid also makes your meds not work as well. I always considered it benign since we use it to wash our eyes out and drink it. We have to remember it also kills cockroaches and has some physical and pesticide products that might be bad for you.

I found that here in CA that we are "safer" than many states. Meaning we have more restrictions. Many sprays make the list of acceptable even though they are very dangerous because they changed one ingredient that has little impact on it's toxicity to neuro patients, your pets, and kids. Many of you treat pets with spot on treatment typically containing spinosad and other pyrethrums. This class of pesticides is generally safe for most people, pets, and kids. There were a spate of deaths from dog spot on treatment; a great many cat deaths result from using dog flea treatment on cats. This is the same thing they spray in yards and trees, non-organic crops, and many food products for pest control.

From the research I did on spinosad I realized it's in the ant bait I use, all non-pet safe insect sprays. Many pesticides may be "natural" like spinosad but it doesn't make them less dangerous to people with neurological conditions. I have to be very sure to wash hands after petting dogs. I must give my dogs’ oral pills for fleas.
