Default 12 teens: isolated pockets of movement disorder occurring

This story brings to mind the professional cheerleader that experienced profound Dystonia upon receiving a flu shot. How often are pwp or similar told that part of our symptoms are mental. This is more Tourette's like but it involves movement disorder. Though there are 12+ girls suffering it's all been attributed to mass hysteria. In my book that means there is something wrong-we just haven't figured it out yet--so to save professional face blah blah blah. Typical of my treatment wrt to PD, cancer, meningitis, and a parasitic inf. I got in Mexico when not easily dx'd.

it's maddening that they accuse one girl of fainting due to mass hysteria

I truly believe extreme stress can mimic horrible illnesses but this keeps happening. I personally know several including myself. It also serves to remind us how complex brain malfunctions can be. To make diagnoses too quick or as a reaction to guesses at medication that might help seems irresponsible by doctors at best. Big Pharma at work again pushing products. I've been accused of faking cancer and viral meningitis. I had both and got over both thanks to my insistence and stubbornness at going slowly and methodically. I just find this latest fascinating. I hope they get better and a cause is found.
