Manufacturer Disaster
I posted this message under a somewhat different topic thinking that it was somewhat in "sync"...but, perhaps it was lost in the other post. I just want to briefly pose my concerns, again...to see if anyone else has experienced this. My pwp has been taking the generic for Mirapex for years...along with Sinemet and Amantadine. Recently, she had her script for the generic Mirapex renewed. We never thought to look at the manufacturer; however, when I DID look at it...trying a last desperate attempt to figure out what was happening to my pwp, I discovered that it was a different manufacturer. I had been watching her closely simply because she had been acting so strangely...couldn't read time...couldn't tell me her age....my age...a slight slurring of speech...I could think only of the change of mfg. Apparently, that was the cause because, once weaned off the other mfg.'s medication, she was fine...and back on the original, Teva. It did take time to rid her body of the other mfg.'s medication and to re-introduce the "older"med and have that begin working again. I just thought this might be of interest and help to anyone who might not have thought of a change of mfg. as impacting on one's symptoms.
Hope all is well with all of you...I haven't posted on the forum in a very long time...I will try to do better.
