Default Modern day treppaning.........

DBS has a long way to go. IMHO
And I hope that it never gets there
It only helps in a smaller than 50% Overall population of those who have had it done, and we have heard of many stories about the vagaries of transcranial electrode fitting and tuning and the subsequent failure to provide the initial improvements seen.
I think that transcranial magnetic stimulation would be more feasible tactic!!!
once again, IMHO, I believe that DBS is a primitive approach to Parkinsonism, and really only exists to fatten the wallets of those who convince PWP of its "miraculous" efficacy.
Modern day trepanning, I know that there have been many relative "successes" in DBS therapy, however, it is only logical that a "static" device, one that is targeted in a single, confined area of the brain, could be a "preferred method" in any future development towards a true "abatement" of all Parkinsonism syndromes.
At least for the next 100 years or so, when we have mastered the " synthesis" of brain structures.
