I keep forgetting if I have taken my dosage of sinemet. I take 3 pills daily....100/25mg. When I question if I have taken a pill and cannot remeber if I have done so...what should I do...take nothing until the next scheduled time ; take half a pill now; take a full pill now? any help would be great.

you should get a mediset box at your drugstore. it's divided into 7 days times upto 4 doseages, so that setup would have 28 compartments. or just put your 3 pills into another container the night before.
your're at a pretty low doseage. i would notice very quickly if i missed a dose, my symptoms would kick in. if your symptoms are mild it shouldn't make much difference if you took 1/2 pill or waited imho. if you working and you actually just forget to take a pill or just can't stop and take a pill, try taking 1.5 to 2 pills on the weekend and see what the affect is. |

I do not know what to tell you about questioning missing a dose (whether to take half dose, etc), but would strongly suggest you obtain a weekly pill organizer such as on this site:
http://www.drugstore.com/products/pr...goobase_filler and only use an alternative source for your pills if you are out and the container not available. Or better yet, if you know you will be out, take the dose you will need from the container with you. In answer to your question about missing a dose, ask your doctor or his nurse what to do. best, madelyn

I agree with the pill box, I think that will really help.
Also, if you have a smartphone or even an alarm clock - you can set it to go off as a reminder to take your pills. |

Use my cell phone alarm for meds. It's programmed for three doses, 8am, 1pm and 5pm. I DO NOT TURN THE ALARM OFF UNTIL I'VE SWALLOWED THE PILL. If I'm busy I hit "snooze" but not "off" until the pill goes down my throat. Can also set up land-line phone for reminders but don't usually answer it anyway. |
