I did a search on threads for DBS and nothing came up which I found hard to believe. Is it a topic that is not allowed to be discussed? I guess the Mods will let me know.
I've been diagnosed for 3 1/2 years now and in Oct. my doctor noticed I was having a serious episode of dyskenisia and suggested I start looking into DBS surgery. It looks like the "magic bullet" for the few people who have shared their experiances on line. I understand there are some risks also, though those have not been fully outlined or detailed. I take Simenet 4X/a day, Requip 3X/a day and Amanadine(sp?) once in the morning. I've also been getting botox shots in my left foot every 3 months to help quell the dibilitating foot cramps that I get in both feet on a near daily basis. Besides looking into a second opinion, should I "run not walk" to have this done? I'm interested in hearing others thoughts. |

Search needs more than 3 letters - that's probably why nothing came up.
You may have to spell some of it out, but there are threads about DBS.
