I am currently using "NOW" brand "Panax Ginseng" at 520 mg each. I will make a couple of suggestions that may not apply to you (since you've been experimenting already) but that others should know:
1) There is some disagreement between sources about ginseng and hypertension. Some say it is a problem while other say that titrating up slowly solves it. So, don't be a hero. Start low. 2) Get a cuff and keep an eye on it, especially during the introductory phase. 3) If you are unsure about any particular meds that you take, talk to your GP about possible problems with it. Hypertension is a serious matter.

i haven't been taking my ginseng lately due to high blood pressure worries. i'm trying to lower it naturally so have eliminated most everything that might affect it, whether it does or doesn't. haven't really tested gingseng's affect on my BP, i have a cuff so could do it. |
