I studied French for awhile and was told that you were not truly fluent until you were dreaming in French. I wondered then, if dreaming about PD related somehow to how we cope psychologically with this diagnosis. My dreams vary; most times I do not have it, but when I do it is at a milder stage and people are very accepting -not at all my reality.

If you recall a dream, do you most often:

a) have PD
b) do not have PD
c) both (it varies)

Interesting! My husband says it varies and it's never as bad as it is in reality. He says he is always trying to get away from it...
My mother always said, If you are having bad dreams - turn your pillow over...the good dreams are on the other side!

Are you saying you find no value in those that do not recall or if they have sleep apnea due to ridigity in their diaphram so do not dream because they are unable to toreach REM sleep and cannot dream?

Luckily, I am in perfect health during my dreams.

What is interesting is that I've only recently started dreaming again (I regularly had dreams up until college.)

A sleep test years ago showed that I never entered REM sleep at all.

Usually I don't , but an occasional one..cannot walk functionally or have hand tremor...about the same as real life (these things only happen at times)

My friend , that I take care of 2 days a week...and has to have constant care
...NEVER has PD in my dreams...I keep telling her we are going to get to that point (where she feels as good as I do...there has to be a breakthru even though she has been on meds over 20 yrs... but, now off sinemet....that is a start
and I feel Rhodiola is helping her (she has been on it a week)

Oh no, that was my intent at all. If I offended anyone, I apologize. I was not assigning value to any of this; only curious to see how results here match those of another forum.

I wondered if PD entering into our subconscious correlated with acceptance or denial of having the disorder. Hardly, a scientific survey.
