yes, you get some side effects but they are minor in my opinion...i was a bit more nervous,a bit more irritable...you can only take off the patch at night when you reach a high level (14mg ) but if you patch early in the morning (before 9 am),this should not be a big problem

Thank you so so much for taking time to repost and all the tips you provided! Just so you know, I do not take Levedopa as of now. I have been taken Mirapex(1mg x 2), Azilect(1mg) and Zoloft(25mg) since diagnosed two years ago, but I am struggling now in walking, balancing and some mild cognitive decline... I really want to get rid of Mirapex, it makes me feel sleepy at daytime. I have a question for you, the four positions, do you mean they are around belly bottom? And how far any of them should be spaced from the belly bottom?

I am going to look for the patch at Costco as lurkingforacure suggested. Thanks again for your info and have a good weekend!

Gonna give this a try. Got a 14 day supply of the knock off equate(wallmart) brand 7MG patches.

Never smoked or used any tobacco products. Except for maybe couple cigarettes I took from my grandma and a couple dips of copenhagen that made me puke in the 9th grade or so. So guess I will see what nicotine does.

Just a quick check in with the patch. I bought the cheaper Wall Mart brand couple weeks ago and no noticeable improvement for that time period. Maybe a little more alert if anything. Got a little dizzy when I first put patch on first day. After that no effects.

Decided to bump up to next step patch couple days ago 14mg. That one got me dizzy for sure. Made it through the day, but crashed that evening. Got very dizzy cold sweat and nauseas. Took off the patch and slept till morning. The next day I went back to 7mg. Basically I cut the 14mg in half.

So if anyone else wants to try the 14mg patches are basically just two 7mg patches together and you can cut them with scissors. I assume the 21mg patches are just a larger size patch as well. So you can save money by buying the biggest one and cutting it yourself.

I' gonna stick with the 7mg for another week and maybe try somewhere in the middle 10mg next week.

i really think your approach won't give you any results !
i have written over and over that you have to start at a low dose, increase very gradually...

Uhhh that's what I am doing. 2 weeks 7mg. 3rd week tried 14mg 1 day too much back to 7mg. So I am going to try 10mg next week. Then move up from there in a couple weeks if no bad side effects. How is this not gradually increasing dosage?

i really understand that you want to be and feel better, but you're increasing your nicotine too fast.
Do read the Protocol from Dr Villafane on the page 2 of this thread.
you must start at the 3,5 mg dose and keep it for 2 months, and you must keep the patch 24h...
you must increase the dose by 3,5 mg every 2 months .

Rushing is not the right path.

kind regards
