Default Neural Correlates of Hypersexuality in Parkinson's Revealed

Wow! This is beyond insulting. Look at the conclusion drawn by the researcher:

Neural Correlative...

Dr. Politis and colleagues say governmental restrictions on erotic images "could help to reduce the onset of pathological sexual behavior, particularly in vulnerable populations such as the people receiving dopamine drugs."

Better yet.... Perhaps the best application of this data would be to encourage PD patients with a history of hypersexuality and/or other addictive behaviors to avoid viewing explicit material whenever possible," Dr. Elmer said.

Do they not understand what "compulsive" means? <beating my head on desk>

Is this intended to protect us or others?!? Do they even understand how inane that is to think that we might predatorial? They do not even mention stopping the drug?!??

This very crucial research was presented at the Movement Disorders Society's annual conference?? I am now speechless.

Default OMG! People have seen pornography?

Science in the service of social control.
Slandering everyone who has Parkinson's. Now THAT is pornography that should be banished.
In any case, lots of scientists believe that if you get more sex than they do - usually about twice a year - then you are by definition a pervert.

Default We're dirty little monkies and we are totally out of control!!

Ever notice how these guys project their own problems onto their data? And don't even pretend to wipe up?

Oh, I had a good retort but not in good taste.

Dirty little monkeys....ha ha. I hope they were not implying we are a menace to society. Do they even know that we don't move so well when off meds?

Bob and Rick, thanks for the chuckles.

People are sexual beings, let those who are without desire cast the first stone.
