Default Unexplained sleep problem

Whenever my husband takes a nap (whether planned or not), when he wakes up he feels weak, especially his legs. He also shuffles, which he normally does not do. It doesn't matter if it's a 15 minute nap or an hour of sleep. It doesn't matter when he last took his meds. It seems to take at least 30 minutes before he returns to "normal". There just doesn't seem to be any explanation for why these naps have such an adverse effect on him. Does anyone have this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions?
