I was wondering if anyone else here has had issues with muscle twitching. I have recently reduced my sinemet dosage to alleviate dyskinesia and the twitching has gotten much worse. I have always had them to some degree but now when I sit in a chair and have a pair of shorts on I can actually see the muscles going crazy. It feels and even looks like something is running around under my skin. I don't know if the worsening of this is a result of sinemet reduction or just disease progression. Thanks

Let's make sure that we're talking about the same thing: my fasciculations are irregular movements of parts of a muscle (in my case almost entirely the calf muscle). You can feel the movement, but it is not painful. There is no movement of the limb.
I first noticed these in 1986. I saw a doctor, who sent me for a blood test (I can't remember for what), and was told there's nothing to worry about. When I was in the process of being diagnosed for PD, I told the neurologist, and was told the same thing. They've continued ever since, never causing a problem. But since diagnosis in 2005, I've often wondered if they are linked to PD. See http://thetheoryofmediocrity.blogspo...of-benign.html for an interesting blog on the subject. John

Thanks JohnT it does sound like we are talking about the same thing. There is no limb movement nor any pain, although as I sit and watch this going on in my legs it sometimes leads to painful cramps. Good to hear two different doctors say it is not a serious concern. But as you said I have to believe its pd related
