Default Anyone using phosphatidylserine ?

I read a short article that a few researchers in Israel are claiming positive effects for PWPs from this supplement.

Has anyone tried it ?

is this the article?
research seems to not advanced past rats, not sure how common that form of pd is and they used a modified supplement to help it get past the BBB

I started using it a month ago on the advice of a naturopath. I'd never heard of it before. She believes I have a hyperactive thyroid, and it's part of the program to fix that. I went to see her because I've had four years of steadily worsening night time aching, that neither my MDS or my family dr. could do anything about. Already I'm sleeping better, the ache is out of my arms, and less in my legs, and I have a bit more energy. I still need the same medication for PD at the same intervals, so I don't think it's changed anything about my PD. Now that would be a nice side effect!

That is the full article. I was surprised to find this supplement easily available at the local health food store.

Yeah, I'm using it at the moment. I don't have Parkinsons disease but I was on dexedrine (high doses) for a few years and now that I quit, I have a deficiency of dopamine in my brain so I'm working on methods of upregulating DA receptors and regenerating dopaminergic neurons.

I read that the 3 main nutrients that one should take to enhance brain nerve factor activity and stimulate neurogenesis are phosphatidyl serine, glycerophospho choline and acetyl carnitine. Phosphatidyl serine by itself enhances the release of dopamine. Also inflammation is one of the major inhibitors of neurogenesis so one should take anti-inflammatories daily, I take aspirin because it is also a good antioxidant and anticoagulent. I recently started learning about auricular acupunture, and putting pressure on the shen men point on the ear causes counteracts inflammation.
