Default Can licorice help those with PD?

A friend gave me some licorice tea, and it was delicious. She makes it by macerating the licorice twig and pouring boiling water over it and leaving it to steep. It is naturally very sweet. I googled the benefits of licorice and found it interesting. It said it is good in treating inflammatory diseases and also helps with constipation, both of which apply to PD. It warns against having more than 1 or 2 cups a day. Does anyone know of any research done on licorice in relation to PD?

Bought seeds for it this year and have one or 2 tiny babies growing...will report in the fall if it is beneficial or not...looked promising to me to experiment with.

I am very excited about your post...shows me that my intuition with plants is getting better the more I work with them. I went to the website you posted for University of South Carolina and plan to try to contact Dr Booze. Thank you so much for your Thread!!
