I wish they would get their act together and recognise that B vitamins are not just a dietary problem, but can be caused by other things, and then address that fact that B12 in particular can incur a toll of individual quality of life and overall health, including neurological damage, if not treated adequately. That means looking at the needs of the individual, and changing ideas about what treating people means. Some of the guidelines have just been there forever, and while research has continued into vitamins and their effects, this has rarely been by the mainstream. Along with the VitC/TB news on another thread, this shows that there is still much to be learned.
