There is a current national multi-center Phase II study ongoing for Pioglitazone. I met with a local participating research center a few months ago to see about participating. Unfortunately, the inclusion/exclusion criteria was limiting. You had to be on either rasagiline or selegiline for at least 8 weeks but not more than 8 months (which was perfect for me as I was on Azilect for 6 months at the time). Stable dosage anticholinergics are also allowed. However, no dopaminergic drugs or amantadine were allowed. I had started on amantadine so was excluded.
