Default This week,

Hi All,
Won't be around until 23rd May. Leaving home at 5-45am tomorrow (8th) to fly to Crete, a Greek island in the Meditteranean Sea. It is a 4 hour flight, so not too bad.
So much to do before we go. I am working almost full time for PD researchers in KIng's College London, and also organising booking a trip for the Canterbury Branch of the PD Society to travel to France in September and meet the PWP folk there. I have found and booked a Hotel in Reims for $50 per double room per night. I hope it is OK!!!!!
I always thought that by the time I reached 70, I would be sitting back in my rocking chair...but i reckoned without 16 years of PD.
Ron

Thumbs up Tahiti, and now Crete?

Ron, you are one dude upon whom no moss will ever grow! It is clear that you are driven, in a good way, to remain as much a "mover and shaker" as you have ever been. Good on you!

Summer comes early in the South. The temperature and humidity are rising so fast that I've almost forgotten what the springtime was like. Although we have had some scattered thunderstorms and rain the past week or two, it has actually been a rather dry spring. The lawn began looking so dry and stressed, I actually had to water it a couple of times in April. When the temperature rises and the rains don't come, the huge pine trees in our back yard suck the earth beneath them dry with their shallow roots.

We are tooling up for a cross-country trip up to Illinois next week to visit kids and grandkids. Our compact motor home is in need of some pre-trip attention; tires, shock absorbers, etc.

It is good to be back online again. 'Puter problems!
Everyone have a good week!

Robert

Ron, $50 per double room sounds great! I only hope that it's not the same hotel down-town Reims, on its beautiful high street, that we slept in ten years ago. It was a historic building, so historic in fact that the plumbing was visible. It was alright, though, only there were no pillow cases - the pillows were tucked under the bottom sheet. Other than that, they were nice folks and even allowed us to have breakfast after 10 a.m.
